I have been meaning to make a post about the 2 devices, but have been waiting for RIM to release the BlackBerry Bold here in NA. The expected date is now October 4th.

What's frustrating is that the Bold seems to have been released in every other country except North America!? The other day, it was released in Jamaica!

AT&T can't seem to get their act together.... Or, hopefully, the delay is a result of the iPhone 3G issues and AT&T is holding the release off until the problems have been resolved. Or, more likely, Apple paid AT&T a handsome amount of cash to lock down an exclusive window.

A friend of mine recently reminded me of the genius of this album. I must have bought this album over 10 years ago, but honestly, it had been forgotten. Inspired by my friend's commentary, and on a hunch, I was able to find it. For the past 4 weeks, the entire album has been on repeat, and I am still not tired of it. I might be able to say the same thing, for... I don't know, 2 or 3 other albums? Genius.

Inpspired, I have since sought similiar "Cool Jazz" period classics. The following, are in my opinion, "must have's". These are all perfect albums to listen to late at night while you are inspired and diligently working.

Miles Davis - Kind of Blue
John Coltrane - Stardust
Bill Evans - Waltz for Debby, or 20bit Mastering

Another, perfect, late night, stormy weather, chill and work type album:

Honest Halo 2 Review

Finally,

A review of Halo 2 that is more in line with how I feel about the game. I agree with the reviewer, I just don't understand why reviewers think this game is a God send. It's almost as if the reviewers were paid off. I simply don't get it. First of all, to give a game a perfect score is like saying this is one of the top games of all time. In my opinion, a sequel cannot be considered as a great achievement simply because of the lack of innovation. It took them 3 years to produce this garbage? Fine, the gameplay is tight, but it's 30 seconds of Halo 1 gameplay repeated over and over and over again. The art? It STILL sucks, because the Art Direction, again, is horrible. Halo 2 is Halo 1 all over again. Just tack on another 10 hours to Halo 1, and you have Halo 2.

I honestly cannot comment on the online ('Live') aspect of the game, but supposeldy it is good, but I would much rather play an online FPS on a PC with a mouse and keyboard.

Curiously, if you read the review, it would seem as if the reviewer would score it much lower than the score of 70 that he ultimately gave it. Well, I guess a 70 is a C, which in my opinion is poor, rather than the largely accepted 'average'.

Quite honsetly, most games bore me these days. What a sad time it is.

My posts (I will not use the term blogs again!) will be much more like rambles, rather than like my friends thoughtful and organized insights.

I must say, the aftermath and results of the '04 election have let me more depressed than I could have ever imagined. I did not expect to feel this way. I am not ashamed to admit that at the young age of 34, this was my first election where I cast my vote. The plight of this country is indeed pervasive. I wonder, as do many in the blue 'educated' states how any one of our fellow Americans could vote any other way, or see things any differently. I want to understand the mindset of these people, but I don't think I ever will until I travel to a red state, sit down with my fellow American, and attempt to have a long and engading coversation. I imagine that their soft brains were manipulated by Christanity - Fundamentalist Christianity... I understand this is a narrow view, and I would agree with you that it is, but I believe religion was a huge factor in this election.

A friend of mine recently travelled to Kansas. Having been raised by hippies, he is one of the most open individuals that I know. Kansas was an eye opener for him. He said 'God' was everywhere. This, the media, stereotypes I have grown up with are my only real insights into the red states.
